The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
