Per new allegations from a informant, Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year prison term for trafficking offenses, is reportedly preparing a commutation application for consideration by the Trump administration.

Preferential Handling Claimed at Federal Prison

House Democrats on the House judiciary committee revealed that a source provided information indicating Maxwell is preparing the commutation application. They also stated she has been receiving special treatment at the federal prison camp in the Lone Star State.

Congressman Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House judiciary committee, stated in a official statement that the prison’s warden was assisting the convict with copying, printing, and sending documents to aid her effort for executive mercy.

The exact content of the clemency request remain unclear, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Custom Arrangements

Raskin states that, according to the whistleblower, Maxwell has been receiving “customized” meals that are “personally delivered” to her cell, and the supervisor has individually organized exclusive visits for her and her guests.

These meetings reportedly involve a designated private space for visitors and a variety of food and drinks for her guests.

Those visiting Maxwell were also reportedly permitted to carry electronic devices, which the congressman characterized as an “unprecedented action” given the potential danger and potential for unmonitored communications.

In one alleged instance, when phone lines went down for other prisoners, Maxwell was given specific instructions about instructing her contacts to contact and how staff would connect the communication to her.

Warden as “Personal Secretary”

The source also allegedly told congressional members that when Maxwell wanted to review and edit documents promptly, she reportedly employed the warden as her “personal secretary and administrative assistant”.

The news release states that those writing to her would send files directly to the supervisor, who would hand them over to Maxwell, for her to examine and change and provide them back to the warden to scan and provide to the initial correspondent.

Extra Benefits Reported

Other privileges reportedly provided to her include time to “play with” a service dog puppy – a benefit typically prohibited – as well as exclusive nighttime use to the facility's gym.

Maxwell’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the whistleblower’s claims.

Through a spokesperson, the presidential office said that it “does not comment” on possible pardon appeals.

“As President Trump has stated, pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the representative noted.

Recent Background

Over the weekend, it was reported that Maxwell told close associates in emails from prison that she was more content at the new prison than her former location.

This past summer, she was transferred from a secure facility in Florida's capital to the minimum-security camp in the state, where most detainees are incarcerated for non-violent offenses and white-collar crimes.

This move, which experts described as exceptional, occurred just shortly following she was questioned about the Epstein case by the deputy attorney general, the official, who also previously served as Donald Trump's personal lawyer.

This questioning came as the Trump administration was facing increasing scrutiny to disclose additional files related to the ongoing probe and amid widespread conjecture around Trump's own personal ties to the fallen billionaire and adjudicated criminal, who was found dead in a New York jail in that year while facing trial on sex-trafficking charges.

Lawmaker Reactions

Through the statement, the congressman also announced that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, requesting explanations about the whistleblower’s allegations, and called on the president to deny the clemency appeal.

“It would be inappropriate to approve any type of pardon to this adjudicated and remorseless criminal,” the representative stated in the document. “The government must not offer her with personal amenities, with puppies to play with, with government agents attending to her requests, or with any preferential handling or institutional privilege at all.”

The congressman asked that Blanche appear for a public congressional hearing to address the disclosures and also presented several inquiries to the President.

Raskin asked whether he had discussed a possible clemency for Maxwell with Blanche or others, whether he had directed him or anyone else to provide her with the transfer or favorable and preferential treatment in detention, and whether she, her lawyers, relatives or agents have made any commitments to Trump or his legal team.

Raskin has asked for a response to the questions by 24 November.

In October, the US supreme court rejected an appeal from the convict on her trafficking verdict.
